Terms and conditions

All pupils must be in possession of a legal and signed provisional driving licence on commencement of training, and must satisfy the legal eyesight requirement. Glasses/contact lenses must be worn at all times if they are needed.

By engaging with JC’s Driving School, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

PROMOTIONAL PHOTOGRAPHS: By taking driving lessons with JC’s, you (or if you are under 18 then your parents, your careers, your guardians) have agreed to all the terms and conditions on this website and have given consent to being photographed for promotional purposes, particularly on successful completion of a practical driving test.

INSURANCE: Fees include pupil’s cover for insurance liability claims while driving the school’s vehicle, providing that the pupil is duly licensed to drive and is accompanied on test by a DVSA Examiner or under the direction of the driving instructor.

PAYMENTS: The driving school reserves the right to charge for any training not cancelled at least 48 hours before the date booked. Payment for training must be paid in advance. Pre-payments are refundable at the discretion of the management on production of an official receipt.

CANCELLATION OF BOOKED LESSONS: At least 48 hours notice must be given by you if there is a need to cancel or re-arrange a lesson booking. Failure to give this notice will result in a valid claim for an equivalent value in compensation.

OFFICIAL DRIVING TESTS: The driving school reserves the right to withhold the training vehicles for the driving test if, in the instructor’s opinion, the pupil does not meet the required standard. For a cancellation, the test fee will be forfeited if three clear days notice is not given, excluding Sundays, Bank Holidays, the day of cancellation or the day of the test.

APPOINTMENTS: While every care will be taken to ensure that clients receive the training at the requested time and with the instructor as booked, all bookings are made on the understanding that the school is not responsible for the postponement of training due to adverse weather conditions, mechanical breakdown of equipment, absence of staff or any other cause.

PERSONAL PROPERTY: Every endeavour is made to safeguard the personal property of any pupil, but we point out that the school accepts no liability whatsoever for jewellery, cash, mobile phones, driving licences, clothing or any other property that may be left in the training vehicle or on their premises.
